Belize

What’s up y’all. Guess what!!!! I’m in Belize, Central America. Got here Thursday July 6, 2018 today is dayyyyyy 4. We leave in the 21st of this month and so far it’s been an amazing experience. A few of my favorite things about the trip wasfirst traveling of course! I always wanted to travel and I have experienced my first plane ride and I was to a different culture. Woahhhhhh! I finally feel like I’m living. Another, is the relationships I am making with my colleagues from A&T. I didn’t know that such a great group of people went to school with me. I just want to see them lights!!!!! San Holo song is my theme music for this trip. I have so many trips plane for this summer. This is the most traveling I have done since.......... yea a mintue! I’m going to Las Vegas in August, and seeing Queen Bee the next week! 🙏🏼. But, everyone we traveled with Erik, Jordan, Martha, Khaila, Dr. Dixon, and Dr. Jefferson are true blessing to my life. I am so glad I am with them and no one else. Seven different personalities in a van is amazing! I love that I am me. I am learning so much about these farmers and I am so glad I got to see all them again. Cesar, Gary, all of them. I finally made it to there culture. A big problem I noticed about Belize in general dog population. There are dogs a lot of dogs that run wild here and they are not fixed! I want to (once I get my DVM) come to Belize on a collberate effort with other Vets to solve the overpopulation issue by having a free spay and neuter clinic. Idk idk just thinking. But, my trip so far is amazing. The farmers conversed with us some problems they had and we will as a cohort try to solve there problems. One fault about the trip is that I feel like I lied to myself about my sexuality. I did that stupid thing were you tell someone that you are in a relationship with a girl but you aren’t and I have to continue that story instead of telling the truth. I haven’t done that in years. Smh. I told myself I wouldn’t do that again and look at me. I am in a different country, a beautiful country at that, and I still am not being my complete self. I also meet a gentleman from Germany so was on a 6 month symbiotical and what he is doing is traveling to different countries in Central America. His story was amazing and it motivates me to want to do the same. It puts life in perspective that it is short and while I am young and healthy I should take advantages of all my opportunities.  How do yo travel between three countries in three days. GOALS AF.  I will keep you all posted love you soooo much.
